Ryan L.
My name is Ryan, and I grew up on Long Island, New York. In the winters, my family and I spent our weekends skiing at Killington and Pico in Vermont. I was actively involved in the Pico racing program until I reached middle school. After graduating high school in 2020, I decided to take a gap year before starting college. During the winter of 2021, I stayed with my aunt and uncle in Steamboat and worked for the Steamboat Winter Sports Club. That experience made me fall in love with the town, and I knew I wanted to make it my home.
This past May, I graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a degree in Agriculture Science. After graduation, I returned to Steamboat and began working for Nature’s Design Landscaping Company. I have six years of experience caring for children, ranging from newborns to 10-year-olds. My background includes private babysitting for family and friends, as well as coaching children ages 3-5 at the Steamboat Winter Sports Club. In this role, I guided them in skiing at Howelsen Hill and Steamboat Resort.
When babysitting, I love engaging children with fun games like hide-and-seek, making crafts, playing board games like Candy Land, and organizing scavenger hunts. I also love organizing outdoor adventures to keep kids engaged and active. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, golfing, hiking, and cooking.
