My name is Mary and I have lived in Steamboat for almost 2 years. My family moved here from the front range so that my 12 year old son could follow his passion for competitive snowboarding, training with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. I originally hail from upstate NY but have lived in Colorado for the past 20 years.

Before moving to Steamboat I received my Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and taught preschool in Boulder for 18 years, Working with every age group from infants-prekindergarten. As a teacher I have gained a perspective of viewing our youngest citizens as competent and capable.

After becoming a Mom in 2012 I decided to shift my focus on supporting new families by becoming a Certified Professional Doula. I have had the honor of supporting families as both a birth and postpartum doula and as an infant sleep consultant. In addition to owning my own Doula business I have been a nanny here in Steamboat for two boys who are now 5 and 7.

While most of my time outside of work revolves around driving throughout the state to various snowboarding competitions, I also enjoy spending time on the slopes myself, as well as reading, traveling, hiking and seeing live music. I love spending time exploring the outdoors with young children whether it be going on a hike, taking a picnic to the park or building a snowman. Other activities I
enjoy alongside children are cooking, arts and crafts, and I have recently developed a love for lego building! I would be honored to have the opportunity to help support your children as they learn, play and grow.
