Hi, I’m Katie! I am originally from tulsa, OK and most recently lived in northwest Arkansas. I moved to steamboat in August with my dog Ruby and my Husband Josh to work at Steamboat Montessori as a PreK teacher and to pursue life in the mountains!
I have an associates degree in Early Childhood and I am finishing up my Montessori certification for 3-6yr olds in May 2025! My passion for young children began in middle school & high school with babysitting and nannying children from 1-12 years old. I then found Montessori schools and have been a teacher for children 18months-6years ever since! I have been teaching for about 8 years now and have a big heart for education and seeing kids grow!
I enjoy playing music, cooking, being creative, and soaking up the sunshine any chance I get! As a teacher, I always love to find opportunities to learn through activities that interest the child and make them light up! I see nannying as a time to lean into creative, fun, and enriching yet restful activities as I connect with the child and ensure that they are safe and cared for.
