Harriet
Hi! My name is Harriet and I am excited to be living back in my hometown, Steamboat Springs. I was born and raised here in the Boat and am back after a few years of seasonal work post-college. I went to school for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado and graduated in 2023. I have my Wilderness First Responder certification, which includes Child and Infant CPR certification and Epinephrine Auto-injector certification.
This past winter I was a Youth Ski Instructor at Copper Mountain where I mostly worked with kiddos ages 3-14, though I worked with kids and adults from 3-70. I have been babysitting intermittently for over 10 years now and love spending time with little ones. I play ice hockey and love anything outdoors, be it skiing, biking, camping, or backpacking. I also spend a lot of time reading.
I loved getting kids excited about skiing and when there isn’t snow, I enjoy spending time outside with kids at the park or the river or the pool. I played hockey all throughout high school and into college so I would love to take kiddos skating as well. I find it fun to connect with the kiddos I am with and finding out what they like to do. I can’t wait for all the adventures to come!
