Avery G.
Hello! My name is Avery Globe and I was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I feel very lucky to be able to call this beautiful valley my home. I graduated from CU Boulder with a B.A. in International Affairs and a minor in French. I spent my junior year of college studying abroad in Paris, France where I was able to live with a French family and learn the language.
I have always enjoyed working with kids. My first job, at age 13, was working at a local preschool for the summer. At the same time, I began babysitting for local families. Since then, I have been a long-term nanny for a family in Paris, Boulder, and Steamboat. After college, I received my TEFL certificate and moved to Qingdao, China, where I taught ESL to Chinese students aged 2-14. Most recently I obtained my substitute certificate and have been a substitute teacher within the Steamboat Springs School District, working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. I am a caring, positive, and reliable caregiver that enjoys keeping kids active and engaged. I strive to be a great role model for anyone I babysit or teach.
Outside of work, I love experiencing everything Steamboat has to offer. In the winter, you can
find me on the slopes, or choreographing and dancing for Steamboat Dance Theatre. In the
summer, I am either on the sand volleyball courts, fly fishing the Yampa, or hiking and camping. Enjoying life with my family and friends is the most important thing to me
